Perek Shira or Chapter of Song is a capsulized encyclopedia of praise to God. In it, all the creatures of the universe offer their own unique praises of the Creator, simply, beautifully. We hope that King David and The Frog whicj is adapted from Perek Shira, will open the eyes and hearts of the young (and the child in each of us) to the wonders of God's Universe. All of thr verses, although simply written, are base on our sages commentaries on Perek Shira. While there are many secular animal stories and many creation stories, none of them really tell about creation in the manner of Perek Shira. Because Perek Shira expresses the songs of all Gods creatures, our sages organized it to correspond to the actual order of creation. Thus, man, the apex of the six days of creation, should apply the lessons as described in Perek Shira to his own life.
